情報ありがとう。 googleでなかなか見つけることができなかったので
とても参考になりました。（手元のログの中で、 DRM・DRI関連の
エラーがでていること、AMDのオフィシャルドライバを
いれるとこの関連だろうと思いますが、2Dはいいが3Dの加速はないよと
いったメッセージがでている、、2.6.25カーネルだと明らかに
画面描画が＊遅くなる！＊とか、不可思議なことがあって、AMDのオフィシャルFAQと Novelの関連の

おもわずPCIEのボードを買いに走りにいきそうになったのは思いとどまりました。

Windowsでつかうしかなさそうです。同じようなコメントを出している海外の人も
みつけました。ちょっと残念。

具体的にはどういう例がありますか。

ちなみに、GL_RENDERERが完全に一致しなければ、グラフ上では別ものとして扱われています。
例えば、1番目と6番目のGeForce7900 GSとかですね。

結構ボロマシンだけどベンチにもなんにもならないgearsでもこれくらいはいくよ。
945GMって事は結構よいCPU/MEMを積んでいるはずだからこれよりもっと良さそうだけど。

まぁDRIのドライバからフォールバック状態になると
極端にパフォーマンスが落ちるってのはあるけどね…。
