0.5はまだ結構ユーザーが残ってるからね、2000〜3000人ぐらいまだ人がいるのでは？
初期設定は接続が200なので150から180くらい平均で接続があるかな？
接続が多くないと他のパラメータ調整してもDLやUPが極端に遅くなるので
そのままがお勧め、ルーター多少いいものじゃないと重くなるかも。

数時間で重くなってステータスのGW開くのがが遅い場合は、Freenetをインストール
したフォルダのFLaunch.iniを開いてJavaMem=の所をデフォルトから256MB以上の数値
を入力してFreenet再起動すれば、メモリーは使うけど安定するしある程度軽くなるよ。

ちなみにFrostはjava1.6の方がいいらしいので、1.5と1.6両方のバージョンのjavaを入れている。

0.5は現在まだまだ5107が多いよ、1日5108使ってみたけど
あまり変わらないようだったので、今は5107に戻してる。
5108の方が多くなったら、移行するかな。
書くの忘れてたけど11月半ばにjava1.5バージョンUPしてるので、まだの人は修正多いみたいなので
UPした方がいいかも。セキュリティ関連の重要な物も多そうなのでこまめに確認する必要があるね。

Freenet 0.7 ビルド1088から、シードノードが提供されるみたいだよ。
これで、ref交換なしにオープンネットに接続できるはず。

オープンネットは、うまくいけばクリスマス頃に完成予定。

オープンネットに対応したらしばらくは、0.5と同時起動してみようと思います

最近はISPによる帯域制御がデフォになってきて
P2Pも間接的にコントロールされやすくなっちゃって来てるけど
そういう規制に対する対策みたいなのってあちら側ではちゃんと考えられてるの？

Frostの開発者であるbbackが6年間使ってきたPCがぶっ壊れたらしい。
今はとりあえず業務用ノートPCにFreenetを入れて動かしてるらしいけど、
さすがに業務用PCでは、Frostの開発はできない。
でもbbackは二人の子供を抱えていて、新しいPCをすぐには買えないんだって。

こんな風に寄付を頼むのは心苦しいのですが、寄付していただけると非常に助かります。

4th April, 2008 - Freenet Receives Donation Funding Ongoing Development Work

Google's Open Source Team has donated US$18,000 to the Freenet Project to support the ongoing
development of the Freenet software.

Freenet is a 501c3 non-profit corporation whose goal is the development of free software that allows
users to publish and obtain information on the Internet without fear of censorship.

Earlier this week Freenet launched the first release-candidate for Freenet 0.7, the 7th major iteration of
Freenet since the project started in 1999. Freenet 0.7's most important new feature is its ability to run in a
"darknet" mode, to further protect the identities of Freenet users in countries which do not respect
freedom of speech on the Internet.

This donation will ensure the continued employment of Freenet's full-time software developer, Matthew
Toseland, so that we can continue to improve Freenet's performance, usability and security, which has
already advanced significantly in 0.7.

Freenet version 0.7 Release Candidate 2 is now available for public testing. Release Candidate 2 features
many bugfixes and a number of usability improvements.

Freenet is a global peer-to-peer network designed to allow users to publish and consume information
without fear of censorship. To use it, you must download the Freenet software, available for Windows,
Mac, Linux and other operating systems. Once you install and run Freenet, your computer will join a
global, decentralized P2P network. You will be able to publish and consume information anonymously,
either through your web browser, or through a variety of third party applications.

Freenet 0.7 is a ground-up rewrite of Freenet. The key user-facing feature in Freenet 0.7 is the ability to
operate Freenet in a "darknet" mode, where your Freenet node will only talk to other Freenet users that
you trust. This makes it much more difficult for an adversary to discover that you are using Freenet, let
alone what you are doing with it. 0.7 also includes significant improvements to both security and
performance.

The Freenet Project is very pleased to announce the release of Freenet 0.7.0.

Freenet is software designed to allow the free exchange of information over the Internet without
fear of censorship, or reprisal. To achieve this Freenet makes it very difficult for adversaries to
reveal the identity, either of the person publishing, or downloading content. The Freenet project
started in 1999, released Freenet 0.1 in March 2000, and has been under active development
ever since.

Freenet is unique in that it handles the storage of content, meaning that if necessary users can
upload content to Freenet and then disconnect. We've discovered that this is a key requirement
for many Freenet users. Once uploaded, content is mirrored and moved around the Freenet
network, making it very difficult to trace, or to destroy. Content will remain in Freenet for as long
as people are retrieving it, although Freenet makes no guarantee that content will be stored
indefinitely.

The journey towards Freenet 0.7 began in 2005 with the realization that some of Freenet's most
vulnerable users needed to hide the fact that they were using Freenet, not just what they were
doing with it. The result of this realization was a ground-up redesign and rewrite of Freenet,
adding a "darknet" capability, allowing users to limit who their Freenet software would
communicate with to trusted friends. This would make it far more difficult for a third-party to
determine who is using Freenet.

Freenet 0.7 also embodies significant improvements to almost every other aspect of Freenet,
